Welcome to a great dental practice!  My professional goal is to provide you with the latest treatment techniques and dental materials while, at the same time, recognizing you as a partner in the process of helping you achieve your optimal oral health.  It is very important to me to always treat patients with the kindness and respect I would want from a health care provider.  This same attitude is shared by my dental assistant, Mary, who has been with Gainesville Dental Associates for over 25 years and Aleta, my Patient Coordinator.  I am interested in all areas of general dentistry, but particularly composite (white) fillings, children's dentistry, removable prosthodontics and the restoration of implants.

Continuing Education:

As a health care professional, I am committed to continuing dental education.  I exceed the Virginia requirement with over 25 hours each year in all areas of dentistry.  Continuing education keeps me current and is part of the reason I maintain my excitement and enthusiasm for patient care.  Also, I use it to ensure that I always provide our patients with the highest standard of care.

A commitment to the community...

I am retired from the Army Dental Corps and I belong to several retired military organizations.  While I enjoy all sports, I am a serious baseball fan and a proud member of Red Sox nation.  Other than some occasional golf and reading for enjoyment, my favorite recreational activity is jogging.  I have completed 5 marathons, but not limit myself to some local races and the Army 10 Miler each year.

I live in Manassas with my wife, Joyce, an RN currently working for the Prince William County School system.  Our daughter, Leslie, is completing her Master's degree in educational counseling and her husband is an Army Captain stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC.  Our son, Douglas, is a senior at William and Mary majoring in neuroscience/biochemistry.  Sadie our adopted shelter dog, is an 11 yr old Lab mix.
