Welcome to Gainesville Dental Associates! It is truly a privilege to work alongside such a strong team - from the front desk to the clinical staff. I have lived in Northern Virginia since 1990 and am proud to serve our community.
After graduating from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, VA, I enrolled at nearby George Mason University where I completed my BS degree in Biology. I decided to pursue a career in dentistry during my sophomore year of undergraduate studies. This turned out to be the best decision of my life! My Biology, B.S. degree, extracurricular activities, and volunteer work in the health sciences contributed towards me earning a seat in the New York University College of Dentistry class of 2009.
Receiving my dental education in New York City was a rewarding experience. The school is filled with faculty from all over the world. The patient demographic is ethnically and medically diverse. At NYUCD I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Bluestone Center for Clinical Research. My education touched on all phases of dentistry. I chose to focus on composite restorations, crown (including implant crowns) and bridge restorations, root canal therapy, dentures, extractions, and patient management. I completed an externship at UCLA’s pediatric dentistry residency in Westwood, CA. After receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree, I completed a one-year dental residency at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. As a part of the program we were exposed to the treatment and management of medically compromised patients, performing comprehensive dentistry on patients under general anesthesia and emergency dentistry (with a focus on complicated extractions and root canal therapy).
Dentistry is an intellectually stimulating and ever-changing field. There is a plethora of cutting edge information available to make our patients more comfortable in the dental setting and make the outcome of their dental treatment more successful. It is vital to stay at the forefront of our field as a health provider to our community. I am a certified Invisalign (clear braces) provider. I have taken continuing education courses in sedation dentistry and many other topics. I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Second District Dental Society (SDDS), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy traveling, exercising and spending quality time with my family and friends.
It has been an honor and privilege to return to Northern Virginia and serve the community I grew up with. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for dentistry with you and your family.
